Messaging program

Text messages from DM Tags

DM Tags sends event guests their photos by text message. This page describes that messaging program: what we send, how you opt in, and how you stop it.

What the program is

DM Tags runs photo and headshot booths at events. When you have your photo taken at one of our booths, we can send the photos you appear in to your phone as text messages. That is the whole program — it exists to deliver your photos from the one event you attended.

This is not a marketing list. We do not send promotions, offers, or newsletters to guests, and we do not text you about other events.

The messages we send

There are five kinds of message, and no others:

  • Queue position confirmation — confirming you are in line for the booth and where you are in it.
  • You’re next — a heads-up that your turn is coming.
  • It’s your turn — telling you to come to the booth.
  • Your photos are ready — your photos from the event, or a link to them.
  • We found more photos of you — sent when you turn up in photos taken later in the event.

At the photo station there is a QR code. You scan it with your own phone, which opens a sign-up form for that one event. You type your own phone number into that form — nobody enters it for you.

On that form there is a separate checkbox, unchecked by default, asking whether you agree to receive text messages from DM Tags about that event. Ticking that box is your consent. Leaving it alone means we do not text you.

We never buy phone numbers, never import them from a list, and never take them from a third party. The only way a number enters the program is a guest typing it into that form and ticking that box.

Texts are optional

Agreeing to texts is not a condition of anything. If you decline, you still join the booth queue exactly as you would otherwise, and you still receive your photos by email.

Consent to texts is also not a condition of any purchase.

Frequency, rates, and how to stop

Message frequency varies — it depends on how many photos you appear in at your event. Message and data rates may apply.

STOP Reply STOP to any message to opt out. We will send one confirmation and then stop texting you.
HELP Reply HELP to any message for help, or contact us at support@dmtags.com.

Opting out of texts does not remove you from the event. If you opt out, we deliver your photos by email instead.

What we do with your phone number

We use your phone number to send you the messages described above, for the event you signed up at. Nothing else.

We do not sell your phone number, and we do not share it for third-party marketing. It is handled by the messaging providers who carry the texts on our behalf, and by nobody else for any other purpose.

How we handle the rest of your information — including the face data used to find you in photographs — is set out in the privacy policy.
